Cam grew up a young Colombian, playing international competitive soccer. He transitioned his athleticism from the horizontal playing field to the vertical when he discovered rock climbing, which he says changed his life forever. He came to the US on a climbing trip in 1999, and his trip hasn't ended yet. It has taken him around the world, on over 34 expeditions including to the spires of Patagonia and 8000m peaks in the Himalaya and Karakorum. While climbing at "home" in Yosemite one day, he witnessed human flight first hand. Since 2004, skydiving has played an increasingly prominent role in his life.
Cam is based in Lodi, but has instructed at DZs around the world. He is AFF, Tandem, Coach, and Wingsuit Instructor certified, with 4500 skydives and 700+ BASE jumps from many objects on three continents. His passion is coaching, training, and guiding new pilots into the air. Cam also flies in the wingsuit competition circuit, placing in the top ten in all of the PPC events he entered and standing on the podium of WOWS 2016 at Kapowsin. He was recently named to the USA National Wingsuit Team.
Cam says that combining his love of alpinism with wingsuit BASE is his ultimate dream.
